Default minnow head versus round head

well i found some sickle hook's. my blood pressure has finally stabilized, shew doggy...was curious what you all thought. what are the pro's and con's with using roundhead's as opposed to using the minnow lead head's if any. gonna purchase me some but was wanting some input if the different head's made a difference? or should i have some of both on hand. what does one do that the other does'nt. i know they both catch fish, but what else? thanx all

I like the round head simply because the powder paint won't run off the point when curing them in the oven as bad......other than that i see no real difference.

The minnow head leaves a bigger welp than the round one if you bounce them off your partner's ear :D

Seriously, I use round heads and a fishing partner uses minnow heads and has for years. Don't see anything major although thought they fell somewhat different on a slack line.

I use round, that just happened to be the mold they had in stock. There isn't much difference if you are crappie fishing, however the round is more versatile if you want to use them for a different species.

Oh! I forgot there are not other species!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The real question is which ones are on sell? I have not found much difference in the two. Seem to hang up less with the round heads when fishing Rip Rap along bridges. But I use both.

Ever leave them in the oven for your wife to find them. When married I was good about turning off the oven and letting them cool before taking them out then running off to work.

But she really got on me when I used her good cast iron dutch ovens to keep them hot while dripping them. I thought it worked pretty good.
