    Default update: foamy exhaust

First of all I would like to thank everyone who replied to my problem a couple weeks back with the excessive foamy exhaust. Here’s the advice I took. I changed the lower unit oil, drained the tank and put fresh gas back in it and took her to the lake for the first time since they opened the ramps back due to the drought (about 4 months). Opened her up and she ran great, went about a mile and a half and idled into a cove, the smoke was unbelievable, you could hardly see 20’ past the back of the boat so I decided to head back toward the ramp a fish within trolling motor distance. When I got back (3 mile round trip) I idled her back down and there was minimal smoke, like normal. Fished while (not much luck) then ran around a bit and went home. Checked the lower unit oil, no water in it, hooked up the hose and cranked up, no more foamy exhaust! So it was just built up residue of unburned 2 cycle oil ( cranked her up about once a month with the hose ), what a relief.

I can only wish to be as good as my dog thinks I am
