    Default multi-lure rod storage

I was wondering what you guys do if using a multi-lure rod when moving from spot to spot and after fishing. I have used rubber bands, those hair clips, garbage bag ties and still not happy. I do wrap my line around the rod which helps with the line. My lures still get twisted around other rods, flopping loose etc. How about some good ideas? I mainly spider rig with 4 poles plus about 3 more for my fishing partner and it can become a mess moving around the lake.

Steve, when you say the hair clips, are you talking about the pony tail holders with the ball on each loop?

Best option is to install vertical (upright) rod holders. I built mine out of PVC for next to nothing and works great..

Use the verticals when moving from one spot to another...

I'm talking about those hinged things that each side is comb shaped that you can open and clamp it to your rod if you have the small size. I also use those rubber band cloth cover hair thing too.

How do you keep your lures from tangling up in your rods? Thats mainly what I'm talking about.

The veritcal rod holders will stop them from getting twisted up on other rods if installed correctly (enough spacing).

When I'm running mult lures, I run the bottom lure around the base of the reel and back up to hook it into the next lure, then wrap the line around the rod. This works for me. I have no problem with tangles.

Last year I got a bag of stuff for my birthday and in were 5 of the BPS lure wraps. I tried them and they work great. They are heavy cloth material with velcro on three sides. You just wrap them around the rod and lure and they keep everything pretty straight. I probably never would have bought them myself, but I'm glad I have them now.

I use the hair clippies for the top hook, and hook the bottom hook to the pole.... They work for me!

this is the holder I use, it works great. When its foggy the rods conduct static electricity, don't touch them while the boats in motion. ouch
I use velcro to hold the second hook against the rod, the bottom hook is hooked to the pole. easy on and off, I wrap them around windshield support rod when using them and grab one at a time when needed to keep second hook from tangling or when breaking rods down for storage.

Sticksteer has some velcro not sure from where but fits around pole and dont have to take it off when your fishing. Holds your jigs or hooks and can use it to hold your poles together also. I'll try to find out where he gets i from for you.
