Default Lake Kissimmee, FL Crappie Action

Jill and I have been here in Camp Mack since Saturday. We didn't have any luck down here last year, but are doing better this year. No big numbers, but we are getting quality fish. We were culling anything under 11" today, and brought in six nice ones. Jill's biggest was 13.5" and mine was 12.5". I broke the line at the boat on one slab that I would guess was at least 15". Had him on his side when the line gave. Made a grab for him with my hand and all I got for it was a hand full of dorsal fins and blood. lol Jill was just getting the net to me when it broke off.

Here are some pics from today:

Yeah, but it was iffy this morning. We came in early yesterday because of severe storm warnings. They had a tornado watch out until 7am today, but we never received any severe weather. It was cloudy and windy almost all day, until about 3. We had to come in early to meet some friends and go out for dinner. The sun popped out and sky cleard about 2:30. Just our luck.

Jeff... suffering through 59 degrees right now.

And to think my old man lives there and doesn't fish. May be because I got his boat!

Is that sunburn I see on her??? I'm even more jealous of that than the fish.... I just got my power back on as it has been on and off for the last few days due to the horrible ice storm w/ had a few days ago. Lots of cleanup to do once things melt!
