Default Have you ever mixed Powder paint

to get just the right color that you want for your jig heads, it does work. And it dont have to be the same brand name of paint to do it.
I have mixed both Janns and Pro Tect together with good results.

I tried it and it worked but if you look real close you can see the different colors. Actually kind of neat looking. I mixed flame, Chart, and yellow. Turned out really good, don't think they ever caught anything, but looked almost like a funky marble or something.

I've mixed colors several times. I wanted an olive so I mixed pumpkin brown and green chartreuse. It looks pretty good, but if you look close you can make the 2 colors out. You can lighten colors with white, too.

Now that's funny! I do not believe anyone ever asked the question in that particular way before. Anyway, that is an old method that has been around a while. Some folk stumble on it by accident. Others look at jig catalogs and try and figure a way to imitate something.

Look in the archives. You'll see a whole lot of "Secrets" Here are my favorites.

Skip found that U tube fly tying cartoon and shared it with us all on this forum in another thread. Buckeye Mike, yes I have used plumbers teflontape for slip bobber knots with great results. I have also used dental floss to tie that knot.
