good to hear thanks for the post fish4fun
Went fishing at buddle Creek and caught about 15 crappies using jigs casting from shore. I think the crappies are coming in a little now. I can't wait til march when most of them will come shallow. Caught about 10 that were at least 10 inches or more the rest were 8 or 9 inches.

Interesting you are thinking that they are comming in some on high rock. I was wondering that myself about Falls lake this past weekend. I was fishing deep but saw some people fishing water that I know was much shallower than what I was fishing and they were getting some fish. No where near the amount that the deeper fishing people were getting but some were shallower. It seems early for that to me but I think that there will be some roamers into shallower waters many times. Maybe scouting for spawning areas? I dont know but maybe CHIEF does. How bout it chief?
Nice report fish4fun and glad you got some of em.Yummmmmm
Those shallow fish won't be there this W/E, they will have gone to the deep with the other fish.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

This is my second time this winter that i fished from the shore.First one was not good, no fish. My brother in law said that we caught over 50 crappies at the second bridge on Hwy 8 and his friends caught about 20. He used jigs and his friend used minnows. 2 of his friend crappies were over 2 lbs. Like me, he fished from shore using jigs with bobber. Well who knows, it might be too early for them to come in, but i don't think they are going back deep. Then again it just might be some part of the lake that the crappies come early.
Sounds like they were shallow over deep water taking advantage of the water that had warmed a couple of degrees the last couple of days.
