Surgery went fine, I am home........

Yep. I got to watch the whole operation. The nurse held a mirror so I could watch.

The procedure was called micrographic surgery. I went thru 3 surgeries to remove the tumor.

The doctor cut out what he thought was all the tumor and gave it (my meat) to the pathologist.

The pathologist reported they didn’t get it all. So they cut more. These tumors have legs, so they were getting the roots. After 3 tries, they got it. Numbed me, cut me , and sowed me up 3 times. I guess I got my monies worth.

This cancer stuff is microscopic. You can’t see it with the naked eye. The pathologist let me look at it thru a digital microscope. Wow. Looked like skinny worms.

The people at the clinic were great, but I told them I didn’t ever want to see them again.

I learned a lot about cancer today. Who knows, it might save my life.

My face is sore. The skin is tight. I guess looking on the bright side, I got a 1/2 face lift. AND, I get out of painting for a while.

Glad it went well. I had a malignant melanoma cut out of my back last year. Same deal, cut, check, cut, check, cut, check,... ok we got it all!! *whew!!
