    Default powder coating

Do you have to cure the heads in an oven after coating them or can you use them as is ?

The oven cure just makes them much harder and less likely to chip off

You can use them as soon as they're cool enough for you to hold and tie on your line. But if you bake then it'll last much, much longer and usually won't chip. However if you're out on the boat and want a certain color that you ran out of or something, then sure, paint a few and use them.

Don't know you you ever used Roadrunners or not, but they I believe don't cure theirs because you can open the eye very easy with an eye buster. However if you cure the paint an eye buster is on no use. Use you bodkin heated if there is paint in the eye after the cure.

    I always cure mine.

it really depends on the color, clears and white lower temp for longer but most time I cure mine at 350 for 15 min. I have some powders that are for automotive that are 380 for 20 min
