Default paint in the hook eye?

i am now using powder paint to paint my jig heads how do you all keep the paint out of the eye of the hook? do you use a pin or something and get it out before you cure the heads? or is their a trick to getting it out after it is cured?

its best to get it out before you cure them, but for those that get clogged and are cured I use a dremel tool with a small bit to get it out. you can also heat the end of a pin or paper clip to get it out

The easiest way for me is if there is paint in the eye after I cure it (I do use a tooth pick as I paint to try and keep the eye open) I just use my bodkin heated up really hot and stick it through. It is then open.

If you will hold the eye of the hook with a pair of Hemostats or small pliers then dip it into the paint there won't be any paint in the eye to have to clean out.

I just use a product, called an Eye Buster, does a good job of getting the paint out BEFORE, YOU BAKE IT. If you do it after you bake it, you all most need a hammer & chisel to get it out.
