I'm not sure David, I assumed big no.s were better?
I'm also starting to think I know why ours has slowed down so much -
my co-workers got some kinda Norton anti-virus thingy, and it has been
junk ever since. I was just reading some derogatory stuff about Norton
on another fishing board - not always easy to get rid of they say.

The higher the number, the better. All information transfered across the web is sent in tiny peices called bytes. This page is measuring the amounts of kilobites per second.(1000 bytes). So you want higher numbers.
Matter of fact, I want David Waters internet speed... His upload speed is almost as fast as my download speed....lol....

Personally, I think Nortons is junk as well as McAfee.... We use AVG for our anti-virus, and have never had a computer go down due to a virus, and we have 4 computers online and have been online for about 10 years..... That's proof enough for me to believe in it. And it doesn't bogg down your system like most of the others, unless you are doing a system scan at the same time you are working with it... But you can set it to run during the middle of the night when you aren't online.
If you are interested in checking it out, it's a free download.
