    Default depth finder help

I've been shopping around for a good depth finder, since my old paddle-in-the-water method isnt so accurate, and was noticing that I dont see any transducers being advertised. Do modern depth finders have built in transducers?

The transducer has to be external unless maybe one of those portable jobs might have it built in somehow. Most DFs you can buy with or without. The reasons being they want a different type or the are using one built into a trolling motor.
