Default Bob Cat's and Southern Crappie

Haven't been to Bugg's in years. When I did it was after green carp in the 70's and 80's. I now crappie fish and am planning on fishing Southern Crappie Touny there April 9th. I now understand that Bob Cat's bait and tackle is having a tournament this weekend. So I may come and donate some money to that. I have been reading some Virginia Post and see that Buffalo is a popular creek. I was always partial to Bluestone and Butchers when I bass fished. My questions should anyone desire to be forthcoming are simple.
    What is the water temp?
What 3 areas( creeks) do you prefer for large crappie.
What colors do your prefer, top 3.
I will be pulling ( long lining).
