Up to this point there are only three major additions I have in mind for this 24' Monster Spider Machine.

1. Minn Kota 70# 24volt with electric controls and Auto Pilot

2. Lowrance 332C Sonar/GPS

3. Optima "Blue Top" Deep Cycles

Your thoughts on those are welcome.

As of right now I'm still weighing what Crappie rods I will start with, but the WM Universal 12' and 14' are looking mighty tasty.

But anyway here is my question....
I want to mount my rod holder to the rail for convience reasons for both the wife and I. Problem is the top of the rail is approx. 4' from the water line. I want quick release holders but they must be able to tip forward a few degrees so that the tip can be set just off of the water. I can't see where I could do that with Driftmasters, but could with Tite-Locs. The problem and question I have is, if I tip the Tite-Locs down/forward would the rods have a tendency to slip out?

I have looked at other holders that have a safety ring on them but don't want to be slowed in setting the hook. I'm slow enough already!

Thank you,

MIke
