    Default Jigs

I saw a post on here last fall about a guy selling hand tied jigs called T.H.E. jig. Has anyone used them or know much about them? Thanks

Yes His Name is Crappie Keith and yes they work!!! I used them and have put them to the test against friends using tear drops and waxies and out fished them at least 3-1. When used with what he explains as a vertical fishing sytem and a flasher they are deadly.

What kind of hair, does Crappie Keith use on his jigs ? have never tried them but they do look good, and have seen a lot of talk on the Ice Fishing forum about them.
    THANKS

I believe they are calf tail. I Bought a few from him this winter and they look good. He ties a nice jig. I will be trying them this spring, though I have a feeling they might work better thru the ice, but I should not pre judge. Pop

I have never met Keith I found him and his J.I.G on another site and bought a few and used them. The man asked a question and I answered. And maybe it does sound like a commercial but believe me he does'nt need my help selling he is busy all the time.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I just remember reading his post about his small size jigs. I was thinking of adding them to my arsenal if they are worth it. Does anyone else on here make a similar product? I really dont care who I get them from his thread just stuck in my head.

What is the best way to use such a light jig?

The only way to get any casting distance with a tiny jig is with a float (or on a fly rod.) Of course, if you're ice fishing, casting distance is not necessary.

I use them for ice fishing and using a loop knot is important for activity also a split shot sinker about 8 to 12" above helps get it back down fast.
