    Need help getting started, fish lake Murray SC. Have boat need help with what bait, tips, etc. Fished alot for bream with good succes. Thanks for any help.

    easiest way to find and catch crappie is look for submerged brush or laydowns on lake and either use small minnows or a jigs with tubes or tails usually 1/16th oz jigs.. i like fishing jigs under a stick float such as the Thill brand ones and adjust might depth till i find them.. a good idea if you can aford it is to take a trip with a good guide and pick his brain

    Welcome! I haven't fished Murray for crappie, but I'd start off with some minnows and jigs, both hand tied and plastics under floats at the depth your fishfinder says. For colors, you can't go wrong with chartreuse.
