Default Monday Morning slabs. 3/21am Had a great morning. PICS

Launched a 5:30am. Glass smooth lake with only me cutting the water. Slow drizzle off and on but man were they biting. Caught atleast 50. I only keep the nicer slabs unless they swallow the hook.

Smitty, Those are some nice fish. I stopped by on Sunday to do some business but you had already gone. What part of the lake are you fishing? I am probably going later in the week if I can. I will be tied up all weekend so it will have to be during the week. If you want to sneak away one morning, let me know.

We were out at Neely Henry this weekend it hit on a black/chartruese slider....I was probably pulling about 5 ft or so.....I fought it for close to 25 minutes because I only had 4 lb test on and I was afraid it was gonna snap.....but, she held together for me so we could get it to the boat.....

    It weighed 8lb 7 oz.....had a nice fat gut!!!

It sure was fun to catch on my 12 fter......

Nice one GaBoy. I hate those big suckers because they eat crappie. I love to get into a school of them though, they will wear you out.
Ever have one of them get tangled in all the other lines?

Landing him on 4# was quite a feat. I know you were sweating it out until he was in the boat.

shhh I was headed to the river. I didn't catch many but scouted some areas in the shallows. If I caught 2 in a spot I moved on to look for another spot. We have more blowdowns this year to choose from. Just seeing which ones are holding fish.

I got into a school of small white bass on the point by your dads place. I was trolling and had 3 on at once. that was tricky alone.

Nice catch Falcon, wanted to pass on that I got in the boathouse on the Harris County side around 6 pm March 21, 2005, right off the bat landed two nice slabs, caught multiple dinks, "throw backs", and ended up with 22 keeper slabs, around 9:30 pm they stopped taking minnows completely, played the drown a minnow game for a bit, then decided to load up, seems they went for the larger crappie shiners, the little ones did not produce too well, was cleaning fish until midnight last night, all of the fat slabs were full of roe, they are definitely getting ready to spawn.
