Default Mercury levels at enid and sardis

Do these lakes have a high level of mercury? Are bass and crappie effected by these levels?

    Default Mercury

Couldnt really tell you about those lakes, but EPA just issued new mercury guidance which should help levels nation wide. Alot of the nasty stuff that fish contain like mercury and lead come from coal fired power plants. Mostly top-end predator fish are affected by mercury and the toxins are found mostly in the fatty tissue. I feel that crappie are a low risk fish to eat but women who are of child bearing age sould aviod fish from high risk areas, children as well...........you might try your state health department or natural resources.
