Default What if I did make up some material and tool kits

Just looking at how many people want to do this I am thinking about helping by making some material kits that they would use all of it or at least more chance they would.

I have no idea of cost since I have not looked into that, but I may be able to do that on the low cost side.

How many think that is a good idea?

It would help me as a new guy by saving me the hassel of trying to find best deals and what I actually need.

It'd be nice to offer them, but I don't know how many you would sell. You may sell a lot of them, I suppose you'd just have to try and see. Some instructions and tips wouldn't be a bad thing to include, either.

Thats a good idea Skip. I started with one of BPS's kits which was all right but you get a lot of stuff that you will never use.

I am going to look into it. Don't know if I should just do materials or maybe a separate tool kit too. I don't think a vise will be involved as they can be bought with out materials and tools.

I know many kits come with a whip finish tool that is not for jigs and I can put in a nice bobbin and bodkin. I know I can get some scissors, but they are OK, but not great. They are pretty cheap though.

It's not something I plan on making a lot of money on, just to help with some good materials and decent tools.

I will get back with a new post later, probably next week.

    Default Kits to tie with.

I think it would be a great idea to offer the right tools and materials for making jigs to someone that does not know what to purchase (so many tools and materials). I know my Pastor had to get tired of me calling and coming over to his house about questions. Bad thing about this jig I make it is simple to tie. Ha.
