Again this is probably one that will tie many hair jigs and the like, but I would prefer getting materials as I need them for specifically want to do.

Heck I am make up some kits for tying and sell them on my web site with things that will all get used.

    Again just my opinion,

I know there is no one size fits all... especially in the jig tying world but I did see some bright colored materials in the pics and also have a couple or sources for hair (got a buddy who traps coyotes, bobcats, skunks and foxes and another that is a taxidermist) that should be plenty for me to get my feet wet. When I get better I will probably jump on some of your offers on materials that I have seen you post on occasions. Be prepared for some stupid questions from me because I think that you have some of the hand tied jigs around and would like to be able to do the same someday.

I bought the same kit. I think it's just fine for beginners. It's keeping me busy.

I haven't watched the video though lol....just youtube'd some jig tying vids.

Hey guys that is a great looking starter kit it has most everything you need. It look a lot better than the one I started with it came from Herters years ago. Now go and hi-jack one of those plastic boxes your wife has her sweaters in so you can keep all of your tying stuff together. Have fun

For the basics, you can't beat it. Once you get the feel of what you're doing, you'll develop your own style and start buying enough stuff to drive your wife crazy!!!!!!
