Question Favorite Spinning rod for throwing jigs?

What is your favorite spinning rod for casting for crappie with light jigs?
I like a 6' light rod (custom built), fast taper, 6lb test cajun red line, mitchell 308 reel, 1/16 oz leadhead or roadrunner chartreuse head and a black and chartreuse slider grub. I love it and it has lots of sensitivity and you can cast it all day long. Catch a crappie 14" on it and you are having a ball!

a Mitchell Zero Gravity 7ft Carbon .... until I won a Sam Heaton Signature Series 7ft Graphite :p That's what I use now, most of the time, for jig "casting".

I have several real nice rods, and I look more for the action than the name. I find I'm more accurate with a short rod, 6' or less, but like having longer rods in the boat for slip bobber or float n fly technique. Fast taper is more sensitive to my thinking.I use small UL size reels for casting and have 6 shimano 2000 series, bigger frame for bigger rods. Balance is the key. Using all sizes from 1/32 up to 1/8, I seldom use over 6lb line, BPS yellow line labeled for salt water, about $5 for 3300 yds. Cheap but effective. Haven't tried the sliders yet but recently lost several jigs in a treetop so they're on the list.

For now, I'm going with the Loomis SR 661. For slightly bigger jigs, I like the SJR 700.

I use a Loomis SR 841-2, 7' UL or SR 6010-2, 5' UL. I tend to prefer the 7 foot rod, and both are 2 piece so that they easily fit in the trunk of the car.

I have a Quantum 6' Vapor in light action that I picked up a Academy. I really don't cast jigs, mostly I flip them out with a pendulum motion at brush or columns. Before that I had a MH 6' bass rod with a cheap UL reel that I used but it went on permanent loan at the bottom of the lake here.

Is that the SJR 6400 blank? I use to drool over the G2 version of that rod at Bass Pro. I'm sure the higher end models are even sweeter.
