    Default Vises again

I've been trying to tie some jigs with chenille but found its really awkward with the cheap vise I use. I don't need an expensive pro model as I don't sell jigs or mass produce them. I assume I need a rotary type so what would be a decent vise to get. There sure are a lot of them out there.

I have that dan vise and it has been a very good vice for the money. put 200 through it today and not 1 hook slipped in the jaws. you can get them on ebay for 65.00 so check the shipping for ebay and cabelas and it may save you a few bucks.

Hate to say it, but you are wrong in thinking that you need a rotary vise to tie good jigs or flies. Heck i been tieing since i got a fly tying kit for my birthday, when i was 16, from my brother, a long time ago, and never bought my first rotary till 5 years ago. You just need more practice.
But if you think you need a rotary, look at the Griffin Odyssey Spider vise, i paid like 60 bucks for mine, but the price has gone up on them.

    Good Luck

Danvise is the cheapest true rotary vise out there. I have seen several others near that price lately, but a little higher. The Danvise has a good deal of plastic, but is still a good vise.

I just got a danvise for Christmas. It is truly a great vise for the money.
