here is a photo of petes gar he caught last tuesday night using a ultralite rig, 6 lb line and small hook. once he got it to the boat it broke off, and swam away. suddenly another rod went down and he had the gar again. seems like its snout was wrapped around the line. the gar also tangled up ever rod on that side of the boat. took em awhile to get the mess straightened out. fortuantly i was fishing off the back and it missed my lines.
