Default Good Fishing at Truman under adverse conditions

Finally took your advice and hired a Crappie Guide. We called Bucksaw and Richard Bowling took my husband fishing on Monday. Lots of wind and lots of waves and hubby came home with his limit! He enjoyed his trip so much that he hired Richard again today! Cold front went through and still came home with a limit of very nice fish! We are both full of crappie, slaw and cornbread thanks to all your advice AND Mr. Bowling. Husband said he was a great person to spend the day with and was very knowledgeable about his business. He just asked me to thank you guys for the good advice. One of these days, I won't have to work and maybe I can go, too!

Thanks again for steering us in the "GUIDE" direction! It's really worked out well (except for me not getting to go either day ).

    PS His number is 660-477-3780

Glad you all had a good time. Richard is an outstanding crappie fisherman and guide. As you now know, he keeps that boat steady and totally in control, even with a stiff wind. The good ones make it look easy, don't they? As Bucksaw undergoes management changes every few years, my group of buddies that stays there alot in the spring and sometimes through the summer have made it a point to tell the current owners what a good job Richard does as marina manager. As long as he's employed there, he's around to share info with us on what the fish are doing. I'd encourage you to support him by telling the folks at the lodge and Jim, the owner, what a valuable asset he is, and maybe we can keep him around. I'm planning on fishing with him Monday and will tell him that you talked him up on the site. Good fishing.

Richard is a great guy. Glad to hear that your hubby got after them.

Sounds like you guys know Richard VERY well. Rick (my husband) said it was just amazing how Richard controlled the boat. He said it was just like you were anchored but really weren't. He has a great personality, too, and really knows his fish. Rick WILL let the owners know what he thinks about Richard! He's been talking about him a LOT! And we have more crappie, too!
One of these days, maybe I'll get to fish with two Richards. :p

Get on it, guys, time for everyone to be catching! (Like I know anything about it! )

Again, thanks for the good lead, gang!

    PS Those crappie weren't small.
