I know what you mean. By the time I type something, the subject has changed 5 times.

That really doesn't matter. It is OK to be slow. It is not hard to keep track of the multiple "conversations" since you can scroll backwards to check things out. I am used to it as it is similar to conversations with several people at one time on MS IM.
