It looks like you had wall paper on the wall and removed it. If it was wall papered, then you need to seal the wall first before painting it, or the glue or sizing will bleed thru which is what your wall looks like.
Painting.
The only help for hire around here I can't understand. My house too big. I need to put part of it on Ebay. Worst part of doing it yourself is "passing inspection". Anybody know what I am a talkin' about?

DO-GOODER EXTRADINAR :p
I had water spots from roof leaking (hail damage). I sealed it with kilz. I ain't too good at this stuff. I left the wallpaper. The blue trim is trim tape. Hard to get reliable help in our area.

I am lucky - I can't paint good enough for my wife so she does it herself - problem is I have to be her little erron boy while she paints - now that sucks - so then I pay my 17 year old nephew to help her and I go fishing and get out of the way - much better job that way

I hate painting too. I started painting the outside of my house in July 05. Still not done.
Anything but painting. Give me roofing; septic tank work; plumbing(under house); unstopping drain with a 100 foot snake............ Anything but painting. I am so so so sorry for you.
Lookin good, dont let them fellers play on yur inspection criteria.
I know what yur talkin about. If there is 1 little spot that aint perfect it will keep me from resting until its right.
Wonder do you share this little nuance with me. When faced with the coverage being insufficient I will give it another coat of course. If that dont do it, another. I will give it coats of paint until it is actually over-coated but I always say better safe than sorry.
Then I give it 3 more coats for good measure. I lived in the same place for 11 yrs in TX and the inside area of the rooms by the time we moved out had greatly diminished, from painting.
