    Default Jigging Raps

Anyone use these? I know crank baits work and think these would be excellent for verticle jigging.

    Default Here is a picture.

Maybe this will help if you have not seen one to give an opinion. They come in 1 1/2" and 2" the 2" is 5/16th oz.

How long do you think that thing would last in the middle of a cedar tree?

KCBALLER Cabela's has them and they are not cheap around 5.00 a piece.

Beagle man you are correct it is Walleye type lure and they tip them with minnow heads. I read about them on the Walleye forum and they are using them to catch crappie at stockton. I think it may be the presentation that is key and could probably be duplicated with another lure. I think I will buy one and try it.

drfishjd I don't think it would last long and I would not fish it around a cedar tree, just deep water verticle jigging. I would also fish it with 65lb power pro and I would get it back. Don't know if you've ever used power pro but that stuff is tuff.

Looks good! Wonder if 1/4 oz. rattle trap would work. Got lots of them.
I just KNOW it was a big one!!!

I used the larger ones for jigging walleye through the ice and they worked well and the small ones for yellow perch and crappie. I still have them I might give them a try some time. I also have all my ice spoons and ice jigs i used for ice fishing.
