I wasn't aware that reel seats could be switched around.
I can reel with either hand. Left hand with spinning reels and right or left hand with casting reels.
Anyone out there that claims to be an ambidextrous caster? I remember back in the day my grandpa would cast lefthanded and righthanded but his strong hand was left hand...I am right hand and for some reason I cant reel with my left hand, i have to cast right and reel right...just thought it was kinda funny...anyone go out on certain days and switch the reel seat around just ebcasue you want to cast with a different hand that day?

Yes, I am ambidextrous. I am mostly left handed but I cast right handed and reel in right handed.
I'm just glad you explained what that big word meant. Otherwise I would have had to reply " I'm too stupid to talk to you".

Meant the reel handle, cant type as quick as i am thinking...
All I can say, is if you are around and I try to throw left handed, you better look out because there is no telling where it may go. :D

yep, i can lose fish with either my right or left hand.
Lost a finger & have 2 that don't work on my right hand 30 yrs ago. Still cast right handed, reel right handed & hold the rod in my right hand tightlining. Must be a slow learner. I do hold the rod in my left hand when I reel.
I'm NOT! I like Women!!!! :D :D :D
