Hey it's a new year and everyones thoughts change from year to year, so what's everyone thoughts and theory for your favorite type of line to spool up those reels for 2008 fishing?

Head and shoulders the 2 best light lines I've used are Gamma and Sufix Promix. Strong, low stretch, scratch resistant, very limp, and they seems to last forever so you don't have to respool 3 times a year.

I'm going to add a bit to this post. Take a fresh section of either of these lines in 6lb test and try to break it with your bare hands and unless you have bricks for hands your likely to hurt yourself. These are tough, thin lines. Any other 6lb test is pretty easy to break with your hands. I've done that test with so many people on the road, more times than I can remember, and without exception I get raised eyebrows for an amazing 6lb test line.

I used to be a Cajun Red man (very strong, easy to see)
But I think I have converted to Sufix HiVis Yellow. It seems just as tough.
What converted me was a friend gave me some and I strung up one pole and went fishing and it was very overcast and foggy, couldn't see the Cajun very well, but the HiVis looked like it was glowing. Have most my pole converted now. Couldn't tell you if it made a difference to the fish, but I think I saw more bites.

I use Stren Hi Vis gold and have been pleased with it. I've been thinking about trying Mr Crappie line next.

Suffix with the red label. For some reason the blue label line breaks easier.

Cabelas Ripcord SI 10/2 in hi-vis yellow. Best braid I've used -- and I've tried a bunch!
