Wink These produced for me last year. Here is how to tie them.

These were my "Go to" baits last year and accounted for 875 Crappies.
Here is how I tie them....

Wrap the starter thread on the hook shank. Add a drop of super glue. Tie in a two tone marabou tail. Add a drop of super glue.Tie in Krystal flash. Double over and add a half hitch knot. (Optional) Tie in exactly four strands of white bucktail. Add a drop of "Hard as Nails."

Begin to tie in the chenille and black stripe at the end of the tail feathers. Strip off some of the fibers so the inner thread is exposed and wrap that around the thread. Then bring the tying thread to the front. Wrap the chenille tightly about four turns to the front. Secure with a half hitch knot. Wrap the stripes to the front of the jig hook. (Optional) (Another option is to leave off the black striping)

Secure with two half hitch knots. Cut the extra off close to the jig body. Add a drop of super glue, AND one drop of head cement. Hang the fly to dry.

Here is a bobber stop knot.

    Here is a palomar knot.

Thanks Ship for the jig tying information,

I have a question om mylar tubing if I may ask? I bought some of this tubing to try and tie a minnow body and the tubing has some string inside .Do I leave this material inside the tube or take it out? Do they make just hollow mylar tubing?

You cut the tube to the length you want then pull out the core/string. Then slid it over the hook shank and tie it down after you've done what you want to the fly/jig, then tie it down on the other end. Tie off and cement and you're done.

    Nice post Ship.

Thanks Norm. I try and make something that works exceedingly well for me. I have found out that " The Old School Way" is still a great slab producer.
