Sounds to me like you know the lake to go to.
i'VE BEEN FISHING A LONG TIME FOR MY FAVORITE FISH CRAPPIE, BUT MY BEST FISH IS A 2.83 CAUGHT IN OCCONEE, GA. I LIVE IN EAST TENN. MOST FISHERMAN SAY GRENADA, WHICH SEEMS TO REALLY HAVE COME ON OUR RADAR AFTER A CRAPPIE USA TOUR. A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN 20 LBS TOOK 10 TH PLACE. GRENADA IS ABOUT A 8 HOUR DRIVE IS IT WORTH IT. OR IS THERE A BETTER LAKE CLOSE BY.
Sounds to me like you know the lake to go to.
I have fished a lot of lakes in the country taping shows for Midwest Crappie. If you want the absolute best shot at a 3lb. fish, Grenada is it!!

Bass Pro fish tank, they had a good one in there last time I was there. But ya better be quick about it. lol
i agree with crappieday and sac.
FISH-ON!!!!!
Fish the deep water of Ky lake in the early spring. The big females are staging in 25 to 30 ft water, waiting and feeding. Got my personal best last spring. 3#2oz white crappie and got 5 more over 2lbs that same day.

Sac.,
What would be the best time to take a shot at quantity + quality fish at Grenada when the boat traffic is manageable? Haven't been to the lake before so I would llike to look around without "getting in the way" of half the country that is there during the spawn.
I would assume Feb. but I don't know about Miss. Here at Reelfoot during the spawn you had better be ready for a long wait at the ramp and a boat full of lake, oh...I meant a lake full of boats. LOL!
