We're the "stained / muddy water capitol" here, soooooo.....

    Speaking for me..ONLY......you're dead on:
Your 1st colors are my 1st colors.
Your 2nd colors are my 2nd colors.
Chartreuse head 1st on either of the above.
Hot Pink head 2nd choice on either of the above.
Add "sparkle" whenever possible in any of these.

I don't use painted heads. My favorite colors are: Green/Chart, Pink/white, blaze orange, red/yellow, junebug/chart, black/chart. I have had most success on those colors. CF

Two colors that are often overlooked are yellow/white and dark blue/white. These can produce very well in stained water, especially shallow water.

Don't know that it makes much difference about head color, but if it does ... chartreuse - white - hot pink - black - even yellow should show up well in "stained or >" water. I use unpainted heads, and usually a body with chartreuse tail/tails, counting on the contrast in body and tail colors to get their attention. Most productive body colors I've used, are Electric Blue - lime green - Junebug - red - pink (with Chartreuse as a tail color).
I don't fish much "muddy" water, but do occasionally have to fish in some "off color" water (dirty water from wave action). Most of the lakes I fish are considered "stained" ... that being water that looks "greenish" in color, and a solid Chartreuse jig will disappear from sight within the first foot or two.

Anything with contrasting colors. My stained water favorite is an orange head, black body with char tail kiptail hair jig.
