I have had one for several years, since they first came out. They are great and well worth the money.
I finally installed the Kwik Drop pedestal. I think it is a good safety investment.
Pic is on the Tn forum. Take a look.

I bought one a year ago and am very pleased.
I bought one last year, it works as advertised. I have a question though, somewhere I saw a suggestion of adding some lubricant to the hinge to make it work better. Is this something I need to do? I haven't added anything to it since installation, and it seems a little stiff when raising it into position. Sometimes I have to push it in the hinge area to get it to lock into position.
Mine was like that when I bought it. I never put any grease on it, but may give it a try. I just figured that was part of the design so it didn't have a lot of play in it. Regardless, I really like the pedestal because it is much easier to put the seat down when I am running from one spot to another.Originally Posted by toothpick
Use Vaseline. It is not water soluble. A little dab will do ya. Vaseline is also great for battery terminals. Prevents corrosion. Great for seat pedestal shafts. Also good for chapped lips and also a chapped butt, etc. I like Vaseline.Originally Posted by toothpick

Guess after we get the Lund 1825 Pro Guide. I will have to get a pair of them. And 2 adapters. Be nice to just drop the seats when not spider rigging.

I was thinking about getting one of them, but wondered if they come in different heights? I stand up mostly and use a "Pro" seat pedestal now so I can lean back on it, rather than sit down.
