    will crappie hit if your spider riged with jigs and your anchored? or do you need to be drifting or trolling?

    My guess would be that you would need some action on that tail......

    Unless you are using live bait, then it may not be a problem....

    Depends on where you are anchored. If you are anchored over a brush pile using minnows, I think fishermen have had good succes at that for years.
    If you are anchored in open water with artifical bait, I suggest having something else on board to occupy your time.
    The term spider rigging was coined to reflect the way the rod set up looks from above ( like a spider). The set up was devised as a form of slow trolling, pushing the lures in the front of the boat. If you were anchored, technically you would be still fishing not spider rigging.
