Depends on where you are anchored. If you are anchored over a brush pile using minnows, I think fishermen have had good succes at that for years.Originally Posted by okeechobee fisher
If you are anchored in open water with artifical bait, I suggest having something else on board to occupy your time.
The term spider rigging was coined to reflect the way the rod set up looks from above ( like a spider). The set up was devised as a form of slow trolling, pushing the lures in the front of the boat. If you were anchored, technically you would be still fishing not spider rigging.
