    Went to Hartwell yesterday and trolled some curlytails ,large ones,was fishin for striper and crappie,first fish was a 2.2 lb beauty,biggest crappie this year an she wasn't full of eggs either.Do males get that big?came back over the same spot,nuthin,must of been off a few feet,one way or the other,Either way it was definately marked on the gps ,,can you imagine takeing ten 2.2 pounders to a weigh in,,,awsume...Photos later,,,ss

    I dont know if I can do this but I'm a gonna try..The dern fish was still alive this morning and I almost felt guilty for not releasing her,BUT,she shore will taste good wrapped in some House/Autry and fried,,,,ss

    I almost forgot,she was 16 1/4 inches and had no eggs,this fish would have been humongus come next March..I always drag a couple of crappie jigs when I fish for stripers,cause I had rather eat crappie than them big fish and also sometims I catch a small bream or whitefish and use it for bait for the really large stripers..I hope they dont move to far from where they were come spring time,adjacent to shallow water and off a point where the main channel comes thru.But I fear they will..tight lines yall and I hope yall's Holiday was safe and profitable ..HEY:Lets be careful out there,,,ss

    Nice fish. I'd be proud to take 10 of them to a wiegh in. If you're trollin, you might want to read the article on trollin cranks for crappie. I thought it was real good.
