    Default Stublefield & Luce Bayou

The crappie are just starting to move in. I fished from dawn till 11:00am Saturday and ended up with 7 slabs. I had to work pretty hard just to catch them, but it's a good indication that the spawn has started. You can expect to catch plenty of crappie this weekend. Your best bet is to go during the week to avoid all of the crowds.

I put my kayak in at the 2100 bridge yesterday and fished for about 4 hours. I caught a crappie about every 3 minutes. Not one fish was over 10 inches. I fished both directions from the bridge about a half mile. Does anybody have any reports from Luce Bayou?

Nice slabs Big Dave... I'll be up Luces Bayou late Saturday night. I hope I know what I'm doing.

What was the bait or jigs of choice?
