Default At least I got to go.

Saturday afternoon, I loaded the boat and went to the dead sea (Lake Girardeau). I started marking structure with fish. Pretty windy but thats O.K. I'll fish. No bites, change locations. More structure, more fish, starts raining. Thats O.K. brought rain gear I'll keep fishing. No bites. Move to another spot with structure and fish. STILL no bites. Starts raining harder. I'll keep fishing. Then lightning!!! In December, I'm caught in an electrical storm. Thats it, time to quit fishing for the day. At least I got on the water.

    Default from one to another...

Well Speck, your adventure tells me that your pretty hard core and that I am not the only one who will do the things you did today. Some people call us nuts...I call it just someone who truely loves the outdoors and fishing. The will be better days for sure...and the lightening...smart thing to get off the water when you did. Not anything to mess with.

Go to go fishin' Clinton Lake In Illinois last Saturday.

I caught four nice Black Crappie and a 16" Walleye. Funny think was the big black was in 18" of water. Never give up on shallow water.

Wind was relentless Saturday, but it was even worse on Sunday. Constant 30mph blow with gusts up to 80. Didn't get out on the lake Sunday.
