    Default Walk In Bonanza

I had a chance to slip off yesterday and fish Little River, a tributary of Lake BArkley, here in Western Kentucky. I know of a little oxbow with a spring feeding it also. I caught ten keepers, with the biggest topping out at 2lbs. and 4ounces. Pretty good for a 1/4 mile walkin spot.

Ah! Watts Bar, a beautiful lake, would love to fish it some day. I salivate every time I drive by. You know the old saying, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence". Talking about walk in spots on tributaries, I have a friend of 85 years of age, that found and fished most of the spots I know. About ten years ago, his health was failing, and he spent about three saturdays showing me these places and explaining what made them good. The only catch was, when I reached his age, I pass the knowlege on to as he said another young buck of 49.
