    Default Roadrunners for Crappies.

Do Roadrunner lures really work for Crappie? I have tried them and have had no luck.

Yeah, They do work but like Jimmie says there is no wrong way to fish them as long as you fish them slow. Some times you have to tip them. I like to use crappie candy or waxies sometime minnows

They work great for me, especially in the spring when the fish are scattered along the bare banks. I usualluy don't use them much when fishing brush piles because of the cost. You can lose a few.

Each spring BPS runs a sale on them.. $.79 ea. I usually buy 12 dozen of the maribou.

Whatever bait you are comfortable with will work for you, provided you use the right technique.

RoadRunner is a big hit around my boat. It's the only "go to" lure I have that's manufactured. I normally use them while working open water very slow. They are great to just dangle over the side of the boat, 2 per rod, and about 4-6 rods working different depths. A great locator lure for sure! I'll use a homespun jig in the brushpiles, and have been known to carry a few shiners to boot.
