Just depends where the fish are and what they are doing Ive trolled 2ft of water to 35' of water you just have to pattern the fish and figure out how and where they want the bait.
How deep of water do you guys troll in? How deep do you think is too deep? I have always thought 25' would be plenty but just looking for opinions.
Thanks!

Use my LMS-480 to tell me what depth to fish.
Im with Osofishy, also depends on the time of year. Winter months usually i troll deeper that any other time. I have trolled in 40ft of water before and wore them out, this isnt the norm though.

Did that at Ky lake a few years ago. got our biggest 3 man limit ever. We were 20 to 25ft down over 40ft water. first week of april, after a cold front had come thru.Originally Posted by drill instructor
I troll yr round .... mostly 60 ft water through pole timber all winter. I`ll throw one @ 25' then 30 then 35
Going that deep I use 1/8 jigs and 8 pound stren on all my setups ... dual 1/16th`s work spider rigged also for me.
