    Default Double rig

Hey GaBoy, can you explain the double rig jig, how do you tie them etc. I have tried it a while ago, but not much luck. Also do you use it when fishing shallow water less than 10ft. And good luck at West Point, I was planning on going but I have to take the wife on a short vacation .

I know this isn't homemade but I found some double rigs at the Wmart.

Thanks, but I was talking about the jig rigs that the middle ga boys use to win all those tourneys. GaBoy know what I'm talking about. I couldn't get a good look at Steves lines the other day at the Wylie tourney.

    Default 2-jig rig

What I believe they do is to put the top jig on the line, loose, then tie the bottom with palamor or whatever. Then move the top jig to where you want it, make a little loop with the jig in the loop, and tie a granniy or overhand knot 3 times. This way the top jig is sorta swimming free in the loop. I use this sometime, but if the bottom jig hangs up, the palamor know holds (amost 100% strength) and the overhand knot breaks -- have had this happen several times when using in trees or too shallow. Hope this helps, JimA

Thanks for the diagram GABoy. I tried using threeway swivels and had moderate luck but kept having problems with tangling. Looks like the loop ought to work better and its gotta be easier to rig. Been fishin fifty years and still learn something new every day.
