Default Deep-V boats? J white and others that have them??

The ones that have the lunds and Alumacraft's. How do they compare to other boats in the wind? Does the high Freeboard effect them in the wind? And turn them into a sail?
I was thinking that Deep V sticking down in the water would cause the hull to hold and not let the winds blow them around as bad?
Also getting in from the bank. How is that when theres not a dock around and you have to pull up to the banks?
The 1825 Pro guide were looking at, Has I think 35.5 deep sides at the front. Compared to some of the others that has the 40" deep freeboard at the front. Then the Tournament Pro 185 has I think its 42" at the front. Man that would kill me I think trying to get in from the bank.
Also I know fishing the standing timber at Sardis there will be spots that the boat will be 2 wide for. That is one reason I was also looking and still am looking at the War-Eagle 861 as its not as wide. but don't' think it will ride anywhere as good as the Lund.
Any help I sure will take.
    Thanks
    Pete

The high sides does have a Little impact on trolling with the trolling motor like I do, but not that bad IMHO. The depth of the boat in the water for mine is only about 1' so it's not going to make that much difference. They are great in rough water. The ride in my Lund is incredible and can't imagine any boat taking rough water any better.

I had a pontoon and now that is like a sale in the wind. I would not trade my Lund for anything!

You can bet any boat with less width is going to be less stable when walking around.

I've been really well pleased with the way mine acts in the wind,
you're right about what's in the water helping to hold - don't hurt
that it's heavy as a battleship and I'm loaded heavy with junk too

Looking at the "bathtub ring" on mine, I've probably got 24" of boat below
the waterline when I'm sitting up front, front livewell full, 28# anchor in
the front locker, etc. and about a 2" high sharp keel running nearly the
    full length helps too.

Getting in and out, the only time it's really bit me is on some of the lakes
I fish in the winter, where it's only 3' deep 20' or more out from the bank
up around the boat ramp. Cedar creek, launching at Britton bridge is the
one that comes to mind - and get red sand all in the boat from getting in
    and out

But the width is something to deal with allright, makes me pucker up bad
on some of the narrow bridges out my way if I'm meeting someone at night.
It sticks out 3 or 4" each side of the fenders on my dually.
But once I get out in the water it's all good - compromises!

here's a pic of mine beached at bay springs, under normal conditions of
having a little bit of water http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/f...t/DSC00722.jpg

but you can see, I still didn't make it quite all the way to the bank -
yeah, it was still pretty new then is why I got the stupid piece of carpet
under it  now I don't worry so much about it.
