Next time that happens try changing to a smaller hook and sliding the weight up a foot or so. Tha'll give the minnow more freedom and it might trigger more stikes. It has worked for me.
Your Out There Having A Ball, Catching Ten Fifteen An Hour.(thats A Lot For Me) All Of A Sudden You Realize You Nor Your Pard. Has Caught A Fish In Twenty Minutes. Forty Five Goes By And You Pick Up A Fish Or Two. You Move And Pick Up A Fish Or Two. Change Bait And Catch One. Fish Are Still There, You Can See Them. Whats Changed? Just Thought It Would Be Interesting As To What You Folks Do When And If This Happens. Whats Your Plan B???

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Switching to plan "B" - "HOME" :D
I agree. This is why the KY Lake rig is so deadly.Originally Posted by gabowman

I'll usually just start hunting for other fish willing to bit at a different spot. I agree that returning to the area after a while and trying a differnt jig size or color has produced a few more fish for me.
I've seen with a changing barometer near midday that the fish quit biting but pick back up again towards evening.
If I caught 10 or 15 I would consider that a great day. Last time I went out I brought home 3.

Crappie are not in a feeding mode most of the time. When they are you can catch a bunch in a hurry. Usually when you first hit a spot you will get a few of the more agressive ones and then the action slows down. They are still there but really don't want to bite.
My suggestion (and my plan) is to move to another spot much quicker, catch those few agressive fish and move again. The last time I spent 45 min in a spot without catching a fish would have been because my boat was broken down. I don't care how good a spot was, once the action stops, I'm gone.
Good fishing.
I would change something
1) Location
2) downsize
3) lure color
4) slower presentation
Keep your confidence level up and keep on trying.
