Heading out to go grouper fishing this weekend...Update 3/14
I am heading out to my Dad's tomorrow to go out in the Gulf for gag grouper.
Dad says that they have really been catching them lately. He caught a 25 pounder last weekend, so I am hoping some of his luck will rub off on me this weekend. Report when I get back on Sunday.
Update...
Well grouper fishing was a bust due to high wind and seas (25 mph+/ 4-7 foot), making it impossible to get far offshore. Did a little fishing inshore on the flats, caught a mess of Speckled Trout, but all were 10-13 in. The size limit is 14 in. to keep. So I didn't bring anything home, but had a good time anyway.

I will headed down to Marathon, Fl April7th - will be going for some grouper myself - plan on hitting the flats as well for some permit fishing
