BTW we will be trolling.
I am going to Jamaica in January and plan to go fishing with a local that I have fished with in the past. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with how to tie something that would stand a good chance of helping me "hook up" with some salt water action.

for trolling you cant go wrong with a white or blue and white bucktail jig. pick you some up with heavy saltwater hooks and 1-3 oz heads.
Let me know what size weight and what colors you want and I can tie you some if you're looking to buy some bucktails. I can tie saltwater flies as well, but they don't really troll good because they're not weighted enough to sink down while you're trolling.
