Im glad my 6 yr old didnt see what he should have in his beginners bag.He thinks a ham sandwich, chips, and cold drink is all you need.
You can tell a rookie Crappieman from a veteran by looking in his tackle bag.
Beginners Tackle bag.
Vetrans Tackle bag
Good fishing.

I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---DONT EVERYBODY ? Thumbs Up
Well, I had been wondering how I would classify myself as far as a crappie fisherman. Thanks to Mr. Paty I can finally determine that I am indeed a "Beginner". Question is, when I do become a "Vetran", what will I need to put in my bag? When I am fishing, it is the only time I will go 8 - 10 hours without eating. Funny thing is I never even get hungry until I'm on the drive home.
About 50 years ago a friend of my family ask me if i wanted to came out
fish over the week-end AND we would eat what we caught. SOoo I didn't take anything well come night we hadn't caught anything so looked like a
night with nothing to eat,Well Henery broke out HIS Vienna sausage And crackers nothing for me . Was told this was a lesson i would never forget and
belive me I don't leave the house with out SOMETHING LESSON LEARNED

Took my dad out one day. I asked him the night before what he wanted me to pack for him to eat. He said he was fishing not eatin. He ate everything in the boat. We had a great day on the water as always.
On a nightstalk me and my son usually fix a couple ham/lettuce sandwiches and some chips and drinks. When available we'll swipe some brownies off the table too. If I'm going alone for a few hours I'll just take waters and a coke and crackers most of the time.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Learned about starving many years ago. The dry storage box in the boat never leaves home without vienna sausage, potted meat, crackers and bottled water. Then pack the freash stuff when we go. That hot bottled water sure is good when you are thirsty:D
Gone Fishing
I always try to take some jerky and water. Gnawing on deer jerky always brings the fish in to check things out.
Most of the time I have jerky, some pepsi, bottled water and sandwiches. When your ice fishing you water stays cold. Just throw them on the ice.
Looks like this "guy" wears his tacklebox....
