Talking What's in your tackle bag?

You can tell a rookie Crappieman from a veteran by looking in his tackle bag.

Well, I had been wondering how I would classify myself as far as a crappie fisherman. Thanks to Mr. Paty I can finally determine that I am indeed a "Beginner". Question is, when I do become a "Vetran", what will I need to put in my bag? When I am fishing, it is the only time I will go 8 - 10 hours without eating. Funny thing is I never even get hungry until I'm on the drive home.

Took my dad out one day. I asked him the night before what he wanted me to pack for him to eat. He said he was fishing not eatin. He ate everything in the boat. We had a great day on the water as always.

On a nightstalk me and my son usually fix a couple ham/lettuce sandwiches and some chips and drinks. When available we'll swipe some brownies off the table too. If I'm going alone for a few hours I'll just take waters and a coke and crackers most of the time.

Learned about starving many years ago. The dry storage box in the boat never leaves home without vienna sausage, potted meat, crackers and bottled water. Then pack the freash stuff when we go. That hot bottled water sure is good when you are thirsty:D

I always try to take some jerky and water. Gnawing on deer jerky always brings the fish in to check things out.

Most of the time I have jerky, some pepsi, bottled water and sandwiches. When your ice fishing you water stays cold. Just throw them on the ice.
