I guess we both old school. I am sold on technology (gps, sonar, etc) but the gidgits on the market.........naw. I believe if you have confidence with what u fishing with, u gonna catch fish...be it minnows, jigs, or dynimite...

Yeah CP I guess we fit the "old school" mold. The only thing that I do rely on that I didn't have 40 years ago is a GPS. I get lost easily. I got lost on the Lake of the Woods about 15 years ago and it was scary. If it hadn't been for a couple of Canadian Indians I would still be wandering around....LOL

Someone, in another post, mentioned sculling rather than a trolling motor. I've done that too. Had my metal Coca Cola cooler full of Jax beer and bologna. Back then we supported the local brewery. Had a fish stringer hanging over the boat and knew nothing about a high priced thing with aerators, recirculators, timers,water temp,etc. Aluminum Starcraft 14' with a 6 hp motor. How in the Hell did we catch any fish?

I remember hear about some of the things you are talking about and have done some of them. My wife says that I am old at heart. Esp since most of my fishin buddies are just "ole School". But I don't care learn alot that way or at least get good stories told to me. Tammy says one day I will be one of the guys off Grumpy Old Men. I just wonder what is wrong with that? I think it sound good. Can not wait to get there.
