Default 2 blade pocket knife-What's your recommendation

Father in law needs a new knife on his crappie fishing adventures. I know he has used Case and Old Timer before, but it has been so long since one was bought for the old man, I wanted to get one that has some quality to it like the older pocket knives.

Any suggestions and location to buy??? He definetly has said he doesn't want a lock blade type knife. Set in his ways, so I want to get him something that is up to par. You know cut wire, clean fish and pick his teeth type knife.

    Thanks,
    Mud-Dabber

I like the Old Timer knives I have one that my uncle gave me and it's older than me. Funny thing is it's in better shape than me too.

I like Uncle Henry brand knives in the two blade Pro Trapper Series... About every knife company makes a 2 blade trapper series it is a real good all around pocket knife - I think your father in law would really enjoy a good quality two blade trapper in any brand...

Well I'm kinda a case xx guy.But knives are like anything else you buy.You get what you pay for.

    You can get a $5 or a $100 2 bladed (trapper series).

I'm like most others also.If he is planning on using it regular he would be happy with just about any trapper knife i'm sure.

Kissing Crane. One of the best, if not THE BEST, knives made.

My cousin saw a Kissing Crane cut a Buck blade in half with one chop.

The Kissing Crane is made from Soligen steel, in Germany. Very tough steel.

If all he wants to do is cut line the mini Swiss Army knife can't be beat. Have carried one for years and use it for something every day. Walmart, about $10.00. Single blade, mini scissors, nail file/screwdriver, toothpick and tweezers.
