    Default 11/10 NC Specks

I caught 15 specks the biggest being 19.5". I caught 4 on mirrolures and the rest trolling 1/4 oz magic minnows under corks. Thanks bigbee for showing me your lure from your post.

Congrats on the catch. There are a few guys around here that are going every week and catching limits. They are long line trolling for them, just under 2mph. I saw one of their baits the other day and it looked almost like LSU colors. Purple body with a yellow or chartruese tail. Dont remember which.

We usually filet them and fry them. Next best thing to fried crappie filets. Some will argue that they are better.

Johnny, you won't get that argument from me! They are good eating but IMO, they don't compare to crappie! :D

Nice fish! What area were you fishing? I used to fish at Cape Lookout years ago.
