    Default the 400th post

Since this seems to be a nice round number I thought to make it into it's own thread.
Fishing this year has been a great year so far.
We started out April 20th on early ice out cold water.
We drilled hundreds of crappies with small hair and plastic jigs.

Then as mid May rolls by we have walleyes and pike open up.
With water temps in the 50's we started slow ,but picked up on the action as the water warmed.
Nothing really big ,but there were many great eaters. Through Aug & Sept we averaged 40-50 a trip.

The pike and bass made their presence known along the way.

Then we got back to some crappies as they were feeding hard prior to moving deep getting ready for winter.

I've left the fish be and have been hunting grouse and ducks.

Now deer is where I'm focused on . I've yet to score on my 2 tags with 2 more weeks to go.
Then it will be time just after thanksgiving to get back on the ice.

I hope your year has been a good one and may the Lord bless you in all of your endevours.
    CK

Congrats on # 400. Lots of nice pics. I cant imagine catching so many fish in August and September. Our water temps are in the 90's that time of the year. Be sure to post your pics if you get to fill those buck tags this year. I'm always interested when pictures are involved. :p

Congrats! I enjoy your pics as I have never been up that way it is very interesting! The ice would drive me nuts as I like to go to the fish and not sit in one spot waiting on them. I would have holes cut everywhere!

Thanks for a great 400. Looking forward to 400 more. The pic with the decoys in the boat and the crappie and snow are awesome!

I just realzed that I mad a double post with the year in review........opppps.

As to sitting in one spot on the ice, well that only happens when I'm in fish.
Otherwise the ice looks like swiss cheese from me augering holes trying to locate the school.
Here's a few more pics from our ice season.
