Default Had a quick trip This AM

The Wife and I went this morning and didn't get away from the house until 9 and back here by 12 noon and it was a little slow for sure. We caught only 8 fish and all were 10" or larger and all but one cam on a 1/4 Silver/Blue/White and even had minners, but only one fish caught on the minners and he was one of the smaller ones.

Caught all of them in my second spot with the first a creek in 36+ feet of water and not a bite. All these came in water under 20' and down about 12'.

Only had one really good Slab and he was 16" and about 2 pounds. So not so many, but we had fun and the big boy is going on the grill tomorrow!

Would have stayed longer, but just had too much to do.

    Here is the pics...

Congrats on the catch, I wonder if you would have got out there earlier if they would have done any better. Thanks for the pics/post.

Very possibly since the "Major feed" was supposed to be done about the time I went out. Also could have done better just by staying longer, but the wife was done by then.

I caved in IMHO and bought them darn minners and then they really didn't make hardly any difference. I think only one was caught on a minnow.

Wow I just looked at my site and I can't believe I have not put more of a spot light on the jig I used today. Looked for a good picture in my Photobucket and Nada! This jig is one of the best color combos that produces throughout the year and I would be with out it in my box. Shame on me and I will remedy that today sometime. Anyway it is #17 in this pic, but without eyes and the one today was 1/4 oz.

    Hey Skip,

Did you give your disco jig a try? I'm headed to Walmart today and see if they have any of that material left. Anyway, congratulations.

I didn't have any of them tied in a 1/4 oz. jig and that is what I was using.

I also went to Walmart in the afternoon and just took a look at their clearance rack where the Disco Yarn was and most was gone.

    Good Luck on finding some,
